ALUPCO
Half a century of Saudi industry behind a craft business.
Natural finishes are a craft business. Around two hundred artisans, a mixing room in Riyadh, and walls that are judged by hand against an approved panel. What a craft business does not generate on its own is industrial standing.
In August 2025 the group concluded a partnership with ALUPCO, the Aluminium Products Company of Dammam — a company whose history began in 1975, opened by King Khaled Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and today a Saudi joint stock company. Building Layers by Conmarble, the group's Saudi contracting principal, has been majority-owned by ALUPCO from that date.
Earth Layers Building Contracting LLC contracts in the United Arab Emirates as the formally appointed representative of Building Layers by Conmarble. The finishes work itself is unchanged: the same artisans, the same materials, the same manufacturer standards.
“Integrity is the key to all our dealings with our clients and partners.”
ALUPCO states its purpose as becoming “a trusted solutions partner wherever we operate”, leaving “a lasting, positive impact on both the planet & the communities we proudly serve”. We supply breathable, mineral, low-emission surfaces. A shareholder that states its purpose in those terms is one we can build under.
What the partnership changes
Prequalification for a major package tests the company behind the trade as well as the trade itself. ALUPCO's backing is what lets the group be considered for work it could not have reached alone.
ALUPCO extrudes 45,000 tonnes a year at Dammam and 40,000 at Jeddah, to European (EN), British (BS), American (ASTM) and Saudi (SASO) standards, and has held ISO 9001 since 1995 — currently ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. That is a documentation culture, and our own submittals answer to it.
ALUPCO builds under the Made in Saudi initiative and Saudi Vision 2030. Our own argument — that a wall in the Gulf should be made largely of what the Gulf already has — sits naturally alongside it.
Mineral expertise
Everything on this page is a mineral system: clay, lime, cement, stone and earth. That is not an accident of the catalogue — it is the whole strategy.
Mineral finishes behave in ways polymer coatings cannot. They are vapour permeable, so a wall dries rather than trapping moisture behind a film. They are non-combustible — Euroclass A1, contributing nothing to a fire. They carry colour through the body of the material rather than on its surface, so damage is repaired rather than replaced. And they emit next to nothing into the air of the room.
Working across five mineral families at once is what lets us answer a whole building rather than one room: clay on the interior walls, lime in the wet areas, microcement on the floors, rammed earth on the feature elevations and resin-bound aggregate outside. One contractor, one warranty, one set of junctions that have been thought about.
The technical data, family by family →Who we work with
Five manufacturers and one development authority. Each relationship is a formal agreement, not a supply arrangement.
Clayworks
Cornwall, United Kingdom Exclusive Middle East distributor and approved applicator Visit the manufacturer →Unfired clay plasters, made in Cornwall from abundant raw materials with minimal processing. Holder of the King's Award for Enterprise 2023. The partnership took around two years of conversation before Middle East exclusivity was agreed, and Clayworks now routes regional enquiries directly to us.
Cemher
Valencia, Spain Certified Middle East distributor and applicatorManufactured by Pinturas Kilnher S.L. in Alaquas, Valencia, with more than 75 years behind the business. Cemher approached us directly. Their Microtadelakt lime family and the Microdur, Microrock and Micropool microcements are the mineral backbone of our floor and wet-area work.
Addagrip Terraco
Uckfield, United Kingdom Regional dealership, resin-bound surfacingPart of the Terraco Group, established 1980 — 34 companies, 21 factories, sales in more than 75 countries, with regional production at Umm Al Quwain. The resin-bound and resin-bonded range carries BBA Agrément certification and published permeability figures a drainage engineer can design to.
Giorgio Graesan & Friends
Italy Distributed decorative rangeThe alliance that started everything. An introduction to Venetian plaster in Melbourne in 2021 led to the first decorative range in our catalogue, and to the natural-finishes business that followed. Gioia, Oro, Euphoria, Fili di Seta, Minimal, Morbido Tocco and La Via Lattea are all carried.
Earthborn Paints
United Kingdom Distributed rangeClaywash — a clay-based paint with a brushed, cloudy matte that breathes where conventional paint seals. The newest addition to the catalogue, and the lightest-touch way into a clay surface.

Every system on this page has its own technical data, limits and specification clause on the site. Send us the finishes schedule and we will return it completed, with the sample programme against it.
