Natural finishes in Dubai

We are registered in Dubai, we hold the unfired Clayworks range here for the region, and our built work in the emirate includes Villa 515 in Jumeirah and the Canvas Events Pavilion.

What Dubai asks of a schedule

Dubai sets the tightest compliance path of the four emirates. Under Al Sa'fat, Dubai Municipality's green building system, a Silver Sa'fa rating is mandatory on every new building in the emirate. That pulls emissions and material origin onto the finishes schedule at concept stage rather than at handover, and a finish that cannot show where its material came from is a finish that will be questioned.

It also rewards the way the work is structured here. Because one party supplies the material and applies it, the declaration and the workmanship answer to the same company, and there is no gap between the tin and the trowel for responsibility to fall into. Every certificate we hold is named with its issuing body and its expiry — including the Clayworks Environmental Product Declaration, which expired in November 2025 and is being renewed.

Dubai interiors also swing hard between fierce outdoor heat and heavily conditioned indoor air. That swing, not the nominal temperature, is what a wall finish has to survive, and it is the reason substrate preparation and movement joints get more attention here than the colour does.

What we have built here

Villa 515 in Jumeirah carries Clayworks clay plaster in Demi Rustic and Smooth, in a warm custom yellow, through the restaurant interior. The Canvas Events Pavilion carries exterior clay plaster in a custom earth colour across a curved facade — the same material family, working outdoors, which is a different specification and a different detail.

Earth Layers Building Contracting operates from Office F27, Saih Shuaib 2, in Dubai Industrial City. The unfired Clayworks range is held here for the region, which is why a Dubai sample usually reaches you faster than an imported one, and why a mock-up can be built on your own site rather than described over a call.
